being a grown-up is hard
so far our apartment is awesome, however, we have been bombarded with many new responsibilities we did not see forthcoming:
1. messes. grace and i are pretty messy, but we've been outdoing ourselves. we spill things multiple times a day, shit blows up in the microwave, stuff splatters on the stove, junk spills on the stove. and you can't just leave it there either because there is no one to clean up after you. if you leave the spill alone, its just going to harden and get worse. if you don't clean your dishes then they are going to pile up and piss you off when you're hungry and have nothing to eat off of. i really took living at home for granted. at least i had a dishwasher there...
2. dealing with shit. like the cable company, remembering to take out the garbage, trying to get your furniture delivered only to find out that ikea cancelled the order weeks ago and didn't feel like telling anyone.
3. toilets. fucking a. these low-flush toilets are a mish and a half. they just clog up if you breathe on it funny. my dad has already come out twice to fix it for us. the first time is clogged, it was 3am, i was stoney baloney and it overflowed 3 times. i almost cried. that was real fun to clean up.
otherwise, living on our own has been super fun and my birthday is tomorrow. yay. i will be 20, but yall already knew that. ugh today is my last official day as a teenager.
so yeah. shit. i forgot to call about my ankle xrays. i really hope its not broken.
