Today is the greatest
Well, okay yesterday. Today was nice but yesterday celebrating Sal's 40th was great. We don't get to do a lot all together because they're all 3rd shifters that have weekdays off. So we get to see them when they are going usually on the weekends but that's about it until the holidays. So it was nice for all of us to get together for Sal's big day. I was sad because she wanted to go to a UK game & they suck butt this year. Well, the boys in blue gave her a great game to attend. We "tailgated" at our house because she's still getting over some of the side effect of chemo. My hope when they thought the surgery was just going to be diverticulitis was that she'd come out feeling better than when she went in. It's taken awhile to get there but I asked yesterday if she felt better now than she did last year & it was a resounding "YES!" She's put back on some weight & she looks great. I love that she introduces us as her brother & sister. None of that "my brother's wife" or "sister-in-law", it's just "this is my sister". I am so fortunate to have her in my life.
