its no secret that i have an unashamed six-foot, blue-eyed crush on this australian import. but, listen here, i can be and am objective (no, not objectifying... even though, yeah) and i appreciate this man for more than his sexy stubble, body you could climb like a tree-throw your arms out-declare yourself "queen of the world, jack!". chris ( Read more... )

my dearest, you must. waste not a moment and hasten thyself to the nearest video store or illegal download and get thyself to these films!

you should see swath, just to say you did. there are some creative turns and visually, it's pretty stunning. oh and theron? vicious. plus, i loved the hemsworth and his strut... and kirsten wasn't even that bad. i just like to pick on her... there's a brief interaction near the end when the hunky-man says something very sexy to her that's just sexy too because it rolls of his sexy lips and she's all... well you'll have to see. i wanted to just kick her ass into the brine. but oh well. she puts up a believable job; you're right about twilight killing her vibe, or at least kicking her back a few notches. i have to admit however, having been forced to all the twilights i was actually impressed with her in part one of breaking-my-will-to-live twice: the first was when she's found out that she's preggers. and there's this whole moment she has with herself in the mirror and she perfectly captures this uncertainty-fear-acceptance-joy. her face is a vision of truth and i was almost shocked. then, ten minutes later, dear ol' fangy says he's gonna have carlisle help get the thing out and he leaves her standing there and you can see the horror come over her and the moment she clicks into momma bear mode. like i said, shocked.
so yes, do see it. because there are reasons to love it... the score is beautiful and it's visually stunning; the direction may not know how to handle his love life, but he does know how to handle a camera.

i'd love to meet aaron stanford. i'm pretty ok with anyone showing up on my doorstep -we just don't tell andy- but at the moment it's a little occupied with lee pace, with whom i have an on-again/off-again lust. i'm rewatching what i own of the pushing daisies series and i just finally retackled 'the fall' during which i cried and generally loved every moment. if you haven't seen it, and can respect the fantasy/artistical side of certain people, then do so soon :D
