I'm rushing out the door, but I just have to say that this chapter is excellent, I particularly loved Sherlock's indignation and John's "kindly fuck of and stop judging me" speech.

Can't wait for more!

OMG, JOHN. YES. YES. OF COURSE HE NAILED IT.

Loved their argument at the end there as well - I think you are making this about Sherlock and John's characters. You may have put them in a different setting, but it's them alright.

Also, out of curiousity, exactly in how much detail have you planned this film out? Because it sounds like it would be amazing to watch :D

I think I might put a quick summary of the film's storyline on the next chapter for convenience. it's not terribly detailed. I'm avoiding including any actual dialogue from the film or much detail about it for a reason.

Say there's a novel written about an award-winning poet. And then some of the poet character's poetry is included in the novel, and everyone is all OMG IT'S GENIUS POETRY but you're aware that the author of the novel also wrote the poetry. And that's kind of gross. That's what I want to avoid. So I'm just describing the scenes that Sherlock and John are performing, but I'm not going to include much detail. That way later when the film is (spoiler, heh) critically acclaimed, you can fill in for yourself what about it was so good, aside from the performances.

I approve of this plan. Especially since many times the OMG IT'S GENIUS POETRY is not that great. (See: Duma Key.)

This is why you make your artsy characters artists or musicians. Or actors! Then you can just talk about their brilliance without being tempted to try and show it.

Well, I've written over 80K words on Genie's blog in less than two months. I still think my record is 150K words of Brokeback fix in six weeks back in January of 2006. When it's coming, you run with it.
