Wow, I might actually be an adult by now.

Being An Adult is going great today! I made an appointment to see a foot/ankle specialist this afternoon (the ankle feels better today but I'd rather be safe than sorry) which means I'm going to have to leave work around 3:30, so I decided to get up extra early...at the unheard-of hour of six-freaking-a.m....and get to work before 7.

I actually accomplished this despite being up later than I intended. I meant to go to bed right after Hoarders, which omg last night's episode gave us a new all-time champeen Most Despicable Hoarder Ever. But then Brian called and I talked to him for awhile, so I didn't finish watching it until 11:30, and then I HAD to get on the TWOP boards and talk about it. That's the only TWOP forum thread I follow because the thread is almost more fun than the show itself. But I got my ass in bed by midnight and today's lunch was made and in the fridge. Alarm went off at six and I got right up. It probably helped that I wasn't sleeping that deeply. Eric gets up even earlier than that to go to work, and I don't usually wake up when he's moving around and showering and such, but today I did for some reason, so I'd only been back asleep for less than an hour.

Also today is the day I have designated as Changing Of the Sheets Day, so per the suggestion of a lovely LJ commenter, I stripped the bed right when I got up and remade it with the second set of sheets. Now I just have to wash the previous set this evening and I'll be square with the Gods of Sheets.

You know, I am a contentedly single gal, but damn, making a queen-sized bed sure would be easier with a partner.

So I got dressed and made my coffee and got my lunch together and was out the door at 6:30. STILL DARK OMG. It's also rainy and dismal outdoors. I sat in my car when I got to the parking lot, kind of dreading getting out into the rain and hauling all my crap while carrying an umbrella (my purse, my lunchbag, my Contigo). Then Ke$ha's "Take it Off" came on the radio. That got me out of the car. Heh.

Today I'm wearing my hair in a...brace yourself...ponytail. It's a tiny little floofy ponytail. I think it looks kinda cute. I had to spray the front so my shorter sides and grown-out bangs don't fall in my face, but hey, something new, something different.

This concludes this morning's Boring Update of Mundane Things.
