Whew. What a weekend.

I am currently sitting in a Panera Bread in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, which is just down the street from Bryn Mawr. Amy and I both have flights at 6:00 so we have some time to kill. I just dropped her off at a tea (read: party) for former physics students at the home of a professor, and now I have ensconced myself here with my laptop for a little much-needed decompression time.

Reunion was wonderful and damn near perfect. My class had a turnout of about 45 women over various parts of the three days, which is a darn good turnout for the 15 year reunion (I'm told last year's reunion only has 12 people from the 15 year class). Many of them were friends I'd hoped to see, many more were classmates I was glad to see. I caught up with old friends I don't talk to regularly, had great conversations with friends I do talk to regularly, and had some good conversations with people I never really knew before.

One of my classmates and I discovered, to our surprise, that we both live in Columbus! Furthermore, she is an OB/GYN, and my OB/GYN was her supervising resident when she was an intern. There was much exclamation over my physical transformation, which felt nice.

The weather was fantastic. It did rain last night but it had the decency to (almost) hold off until all the events had concluded. I got some awesome photos and I will post some when I get home (I don't have my camera cord here).

I'm very grateful that I have a nonstop flight home, though. Yay.

travel: short trips, personal: bryn mawr, personal: bmc friends
