So last night I planned out this awesome outfit involving a new pair of KICKASS black peep-toe pumps I got from eBay for $8. Then I got up and looked out the window to see the FOUR INCHES OF SNOW we got last night. D'oh! Out came the jeans.
I'd gotten up nice and early, too, hoping to get a jump start on the day. I left the house before eight. AND GOT TO WORK AT 9:30. My usual highway was a parking lot, so I got off and got on surface streets, which were also slow and pokey. No way I was making it through the morning without coffee so there was the Starbucks stopoff. What a waste of an early wake-up.
Sometimes I wonder about the mysterious journeys of objects. How do things end up where they end up? Sometimes it's logical and makes perfect sense. Other times it's a big giant WTF?
What prompted this was my discovery of something in my office desk drawer. I don't know about your high school, but in my high school it was tradition as seniors to trade the wallet-size senior pictures. You'd write a message on the back and collect them of friends and acquaintances. Everybody carried around a pack of their own wallet photos to trade. I amassed quite a collection.
That pack of wallet-sized photos is here in my office drawer at Geek Central. How did it get here? Why is it here? I never decided, hey, I want to have all these photos in my office drawer. They must have been in something else and hitched a ride. It's boggling. I just looked through the photos and a lot of these people I don't even remember. I'm just sitting here pondering the turn of events that led to these photos being in my office drawer. Oh well.
Necklace of the Day! This one was a Christmas gift from the Lovely Ex-Roommate. It's faaaaabulous.
