Fascinating, Captain.
I have several small, unrelated updates. Time for a bullet-point post!
- Saw two films yesterday, "Watchmen" and "Star Trek" (finally). Will post lengthier thoughts later, but they were both fantastically awesome and I loved them. Oh, and Spock/Uhura? HOT. Fic, plzkthx. And that's such a great nod to TOS canon, or what was supposed to be TOS canon.
- Have decided that I need to have a weekly movie date with myself on Sunday afternoons. I get paid to write about movies, I ought to be more diligent about seeing current ones.
- Geek Central is transitioning from paper timecards (yes, you read that right) to an electronic system. Which is essentially the same thing as the paper ones, same codes, same format, just electronic. Cue OMGFREAKOUT from the large population of people here who can't deal with change of any kind.
- Of all the novel words that the Internet has birthed, my favorite by far is "embiggen." It makes me smile every time I see it.
- My car ought to be done this afternoon. Thank God.
- My patio is cleaned and arranged and BBQ ready. Yay flowers!
- I can listen to Nickel Creek's "Hand Song" over and over again and it makes me want to cry every time.
- OMG only one week until "So You Think You Can Dance." Squee.
