Numbered list of updates is numbered.

1. I am wearing fake eyelashes today. Because I can and because I am a pretty pretty princess.

2. Mystery of the Day: Why is it that no matter what time I set my alarm for, be it 7:00 or 8:00 or 8:30, I inevitably wake up twenty minutes before needing to pee? That's just wrong.

3. This AIG thing is a trip, is it not? Like this sort of thing hasn't been happening all along, but all of a sudden this is huge. Methinks somewhere there is a camel with a broken back. Then Santelli's all, "165 million is nothing, it's like 16.5 cents!" And he's not wrong, but wow was that the wrong tack to take. To most people, 165 million sure IS a lot of money. And you know why else this is huge? We can get our minds around it. The intricacies of bailouts and economies and housing markets are beyond most of us, but we can all get that these guys got a big bailout and now they're paying millions of dollars in bonuses to the guys who caused it, some of whom don't even work there anymore. That, we get. Ergo, we get mad.

4. Natasha Richardson. :-( I hope she's okay but it isn't looking good.

5. Man, my SLS-free toothpaste is so great. Just brushed my teeth and now I can keep drinking my Diet Pepsi.

6. So. Twitter. In some ways I still kinda don't get it. It seems like just another way for all us to be even more up each other's asses than we are now, with our email and cell phones and text messages and blogs. Twitter's like the Perfect Storm version of all of those things together. But...so far I kinda like it. I've got my phone working to post now, but it still isn't sending tweets from my selected Device Delivery people TO my phone. One thing's fo sho...if I didn't already want a PDA or some other web-enabled phone, I sure as hell want one now. I'm not sure why some of you couldn't find me, either, but some of you can. Try it again in a bit...or just look at the list of who follows you. Peg, in particular, I'm following you, so you should be able to see me.

7. Necklace of the day! I started out wearing a different one. I'm wearing a pretty bold shirt today, blousy and with a lot of pattern and color, and I had a more elaborate necklace but it just ended up being too much look, as Tim would say. So I switched to this much simpler one and it was a lot more pulled-together looking.
