Whoa. I haven't updated since last Friday.
My holiday weekend was...quiet. I succeeded in spending all day Friday in my pajamas. Saturday Brian and Dayna came over and helped eat some of the (copious) leftovers and we watched holiday movies. Two of my favorites, "The Bishop's Wife" and "Holiday Inn." Then we finished off Project Runway season 4. Yeah, we were up till like 4 a.m.
Sunday Brian wanted to have Worky Time, so we went over there and he made chili. We were joined by our friend Megan from Texas, who introduced us to the joys of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video, which I have now watched a thousand times. My thoughts about it are as follows:
1. This song is the ultimate earworm.
2. Beyonce is very girlcrush-worthy.
3. The producers of "So You Think You Can Dance" are going to get REALLY sick of seeing this dance during the auditions.
I'm sure many of you have seen it, but there is also a super awesome video of a guy by the name of Shane Mercado exactly duplicating the video's choreography in his bedroom. He does it better, if you ask me. He's been on all kinds of talk shows demonstrating his mad skillz. I'd embed the video but I'm at work and can't get to YouTube. Just search for "Shane Mercado" and you'll find it and variations thereof.
Quick techie question: why do my YouTube vids always play back a little herky-jerky? It's just enough to be distracting. And yes, I've checked and I'm using the most current version of Flash.
