Hey, if Shakespeare can do it...
I just made up a new curse word.
I encountered something frustrating and which made me want to throw
back my head and let out a good old-fashioned colorful metaphor, which
I'd rather not do here in full earshot of coworkers and bosses and the
like.
I took a breath, wound up for a nice, satisfying curse and searched
like mad in my brain for an appropriate epithet to express my
frustration. I had no idea what would come out of my mouth when it
finally became too urgent and I had to say something.
What I ended up saying was:
"Oh, FUDGEPUCKETS."
Fudgepuckets. No idea. Presumably they are distinct from the
better-known fudgepockets, which are, of course...uh...pockets
of fudge. Sounds delicious.
Please, feel free to use my new curse word. Language is to be shared.
Common vocabulary brings us all together and promotes world peace.
For my next trick, I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect
harmony. I'll keep you all updated on my progress.
