You know what I love? Dust-Off. Those cans of compressed air that you use to remove dust from electronic and their zillions of crevasses.
Now that my computer system is all-new and sparkly I want to keep it that way, and once dust gets into all those crevasses, the game is up. There's no getting it out again, ever. So I use the Dust-Off like, every other day. No dust in my USB ports! Shiny and clean!
A friend of mine at work is getting married tomorrow. She got engaged two weeks ago. She started dating him last summer. Whoa, fast track!
It is very cold here. I'm always fascinated by how the varying levels of coldness give such different kinds of snow. Our first snowfall of the new year, a few days ago, it was super cold and we got fine powder. Last night it was still well below freezing but not quite as cold, and we got the fluffy snow. When it's warmer you get the big clumpy wet snow. Snowman snow.
The nice thing about super-cold snow is that you don't have to scrape off your car. It's too cold for the snow to melt and freeze, so there's no ice on the car, just snow that you can knock off with your hands, or just start driving and let it blow off.
My thanks to all of you who responded to my post about
World War II. Much food for thought, and a few good book recommendations, and a much-longed-for meeting (via comment exchange) of two my flisters,
pattinthehatt and
stealyourself who are both totally awesome and I think would get along great. The former is a RL friend I'm blessed to have, the latter is an LJ-only friend I wish I could meet.
And now, a Random Sexy Picture of Damien Lewis.
