Raw fish. It does a body good.

I've written before about the awesomeness of our cafeteria dudes here at Geek Central, and especially Shane the cook-to-order chef, who dreams up wild salads and interesting stir frys for us.

Today I moseyed on down for lunch and you'll never guess what Shane had on order for us today. Sushi. That's new. We've never had that before. Yes, Shane had made us homemade sushi. It was nothing fancy, just some simple rolled sushi (veggie, salmon or crab) but still. We had homemade sushi in a corporate cafeteria.

Word.

Now...it was not the best sushi I've ever had. The rolls were quite large. And I don't think he used sushi rice, or else he cooked it a bit too long because it was kind of mushy. And he (intentionally) had not put wasabi in the rolls given many people's skittishness towards it, but it was available to add on.

Eh. I'm not sure I'll get it again if they have it again, but still. I really appreciate the effort.

In other news, somebody is finally suing over online wank. Thanks to heidi8 for the link. Basically it's a chess online forum where the aggrieved party is suing the board's owners claiming that zillions of wanky posts were made under his name. There's various peas-and-carrots about IP addresses and sockpuppets (they don't use that term, natch).

In OTHER other news...OMG.

Full-length Golden Compass trailer.

*flails, fangirl squee*

So the trailer voiceover is a bit...heavy-handed. With such a heavily concept-laden movie it'd be hard to avoid. I'm with the people saying that Iorek's original voice (which you can hear in the teaser trailer) was better. Apparently they got some anonymous actor guy to do the voice, but then for some reason replaced him and redid the voice with Ian McKellan. Not that Sir Ian is not made of awesome, because he undoubtedly is, but...I liked the first voice better.

OMG Lee Scoresby. OMG daemons.

I can't wait for Will. *dorks out*
