Bless the Internet.
I have very mild case of a particular, rare kind of eczema on my hands. It's called dyshidrosis and it's these really deep blisters or bumps that only occur on the hands, usually on the undersides of the fingers. They itch like you would not believe. I'm really lucky, I only get it in a couple of really small patches that come and go; 90% of the time it's dormant but every so often there'll be a little flare-up. I always get it in the same spot...the undersides of the second joint of both index fingers and both thumbs. It's never been bad enough that I sought treatment, but this flare-up is pretty bad, especially my right thumb.
The best way to treat it is hydrogen peroxide, but you need a lot stronger than 3%, which is what they sell at the drugstore. You can get 25 or 37% at pool supply stores, but I thought, I'll Google it! So I Googled "hydrogen peroxide" and voila, a site that sells 37% (or "food-grade") hydrogen peroxide in a variety of sizes. Yay!
Of course if I was still doing research, I could just get some from the lab. Alas I must shell out $24 for a quart.
