Music and fandom
More curiosity. And spammage.
I've been in a number of different fandoms. Sometimes I've observed that I start to associate a particular band or music with a particular fandom. Has anyone else had this happen?
For example, in my head, Doctor Who is strong associated with the Pet Shop Boys, for reasons that are known to most hardcore Whovians. The two are just inextricably linked. Just last night I realized that I'm starting to associate the Killers with Harry Potter. The reasons for this are probably twofold: number one, it's because of Dan that I started listening to them, and number two, I've seen so many HP LJ icons with lyrics from "Mr. Brightside" on them that I think of HP whenever I hear the song.
Am I just weird, or do other people do this? Any fandom/music associations in YOUR head you'd like to share?
