I am slightly sick. I have just a little cold. Scratchy throat, etc. Man, NyQuil is some awesome stuff. Last night I had that achy-face feeling. You know, that feeling where it feels like the whole inside of your face aches? Does anyone else get that with colds? Just me? Anyhow, I took some before I went to bed. I could quite literally feel myself feeling better as I laid there and read my Kindle before sleep.
Do you use the little cup that comes with NyQuil? I just swig from the bottle. Take a couple small swallows, that oughta do it.
I have exciting new jewelry to share! Last Sunday I went to Winterfair, the big-ass craft-and-art fair they have every Christmas here. I swear, someday I'm going to spend all year saving up and go there with like two grand so I can buy whatever I want. OMG THE JEWELRY. The knitwear. The art. OMG. I picked up a few holiday gifts and I did buy one jewelry set for myself because I fell in love with it. It was from this woman who makes antique-looking quasi-steampunk jewelry with print images (ravens, flies, trees, whatever). This set was simple but pretty and I loved the HUGE print image ring.
Naturally I am wearing all black today to show off the jewelry. Heeee.
A few days ago, I made a DEEEEElightful discovery, namely that all three seasons of "The Young Riders" are available to watch on Netflix Streaming! This despite the fact that only season 1 was released on DVD. The other two seasons, when you watch them, are clearly masters from the studio (there's the occasional bluescreen that says "Commercial"). This could be a real boon for Netflix, if they started making available old TV shows that have never even been on DVD. It could be a way for studios to release them without going to the expense of printing a DVD run, too! They can make a little money off them by selling them to Netflix and more things can be available.
I've been enjoying watching some old episodes of the adventures of those daring Pony Express riders. Heh. It's so cheesy. I love it. Those 1980s dramas were just so earnest.
