Little Literati: The BIGGER Little Literati Summer Challenge for Adults

Jul 28, 2014 22:35

A Panhandle Poetry Society friend and coworker has a summer reading challenge on her blog, so I am finally reading again. Fits and starts. I don't understand how I can put off doing things I love and enjoy until I have some outside motivation. Some inner failing.

So far I've read PD James' The Murder Room (An Adam Dalgliesh mystery) and Nikki Giovanni's Cotton Candy on a Rainy Day. CConRD is definitely #8, but the other can be #1 or #7. I guess I'll find out when I get the others. I've started Flyte for my #4. I'd read the first in the series ages ago and hadn't gotten around to the Book 2.

1. A book set in a place you’ve never been
2. A book that teaches you how to do something
3. A book that most people have read in school but that you somehow dodged-until now!
4. A book meant for young adults
5. A book that was made into a movie
6. A book about another world
7. A long book-one that is longer than you normally read
8. A book of poems
9. A book with a bird or fish on the cover
10. A book you’ve loved your whole life

pps, poetry, books
