Got this in my inbox earlier this week. I sent a donation. I also sent the email to some friends in other cities/states because it was too awesome not to share and some of THEM loved it so much that they went to the college website and donated to the fund!!

As you all know by now, it is the time for the Foundation's Annual Faculty and Staff Campaign. As always, there are many worthy departments, programs, etc. to which you can direct your gift. I would like to ask that you consider the Feed the Fish Fund. The tanks are maintained entirely by donations - so, no donations, no fish tanks.
And consider - all of the fish/crabs/anemones housed in the tanks were orphans, living on the streets, forced to beg every day for another cup of salt water, another ration of seaweed, just to survive. Without your gifts, poor Dory the Tang will have no food and be forced to eat sand. Without your gifts, poor Amy the Anemone will have to beg for the special UV lighting she needs for her photosynthetic algae to keep making the food both of them need to survive. Without your gifts, Stephan the Angelfish won't be able to get his fin-rot medicine and will end up with only one good fin, slowly swimming in a circle until he's dizzy. Don't let this horrible image be on your conscience!!
So, please consider giving what you can to the Feed the Fish Fund. I thank you and the tanks thank you.
