Yesterday was Nick's Worldwide Day of Play. The main event was in Prospect Park and inexplicably, Lena got tickets to it. We wouldn't really care except that Big Time Rush was doing a concert. And we somehow had VIP bracelets!
We got there maybe about twenty minutes before the concert started; we had no idea when it was actually going on, but since the event was running from 10-4, we figured it'd be late enough in the day. Our VIP bracelets got us decently close. They opened with "Windows Down", did "24/Seven", "Music Sounds Better", "Get Up", "Amazing", acoustic "Like Nobody's Around" so Dustin could earn his paycheck, "Confetti Falling", and the mashup of "Big Time Rush"/"City Is Ours". It was being filmed for TV, so they had commercial breaks every three songs or so to run backstage and do who knows what, meanwhile the DJ, who looked familiar in that way that TV DJs look familiar but if you gave me their name it would mean nothing (but I think he might've been on MTV or something? Not the one that was on Jersey Shore), would tell us what we had to do when the cameras came by. (When the cameras come by, you should look excited to be there.) There was not much audience banter, since it wasn't a real concert, and everyone was bearded and sweaty, but it was still fun. Ariana Grande was the other musical guest, but it was actually surprisingly blazing hot in the sunshine (I got sunburnt. In September!) so we went on a quest to find water somewhere and missed a lot of that set. Since it was an outdoor concert, obviously, we still got to hear a lot of it. It was okay? I don't know, she's not my thing. We wandered around for awhile, trying to find the Ninja Turtles, found the Power Rangers instead.
