Maybe some don't know who Peter Schiff is, but let's just say he has been calling the top in the US Socialist monetary policy experiment for over 2 years now. Where he was being laughed at and denigrated as a nutjob earlier, now a lot of people have finally admitted that he was right. So he is also reaping the rewards of being proven correct, with appearances on MSNBC and CNBC etc.
So today, on the front page of Yahoo Finance I see
a headline link to a Peter Schiff quote about the Stimulus deal. I read the article to see what the story was. Nothing fancy, not long, but can you see in there how the author really feels about Schiff?
I'll give you a clue. The word "notoriety" is defined as "widely and unfavorably known".
I guess the financial world and the reporters who dwell in that pit still harbor a little resentment.
