Testing 1... 2... 3...

Hello, world.

That's the traditional thing to write, isn't it?

Hello, anyway.

I guess most LJs probably start out like this, I know my diary I kept as an awkward, angsty teenager did. Of course, I'm long past that now. An awkward 20-something instead. No angst at the moment, none on the radar either, but give it time and something will show up.

So what am I going to use this LJ for? Really it's to entertain me while I'm at work, and to entertain my mate Cam back in Australia when I'm not at work. I'm an Australian guy who's living in Ireland at the moment, have done for the last 10 months. More info about me as it becomes important.

So it's just for musings, mostly. Musings while I wait for the java compiler to finish, musings while the sql reset of the DB happens, musings during all the little annoying periods of waiting that are the programmer's job.

There's not really much musing today, but that's because it's nearly 6 of the evening clock, and I'm much more musing on Going Home than I am musing on anything else. Unfortunately the thing I'm working on is rather complicated to test and it needs to be released on Thursday, so I'm also musing on how I'm going to set up all the test cases that need to be done. Ho hum.

Excuse me while I play some victorious air-guitar. It appears that I've finally fixed something, so our client actually will be able to do their main business objective after all. This is a Good Thing (TM).

Anyway, that's enough rambling for the moment, but it's been fun. Really.
