Curiosity. A very, very interesting trait that seems to hinder most, helping only those chosen few who have the mind to handle it. Perhaps, for the first time since I lost track of Damien, i may have met someone whose mind i can respect.

Perhaps when he is sober, it shall be all the more...enlightening. If my nose and memory serve me corrently, Gin is a very, very wicked drink. Though i do remember once meeting someone who could only use magic when they were throughly drunk. Odd.

Alas, i found nothing in that horrid place that serves as a socio-economic epicenter that could help me with my illusionary self. Oh well...the results of my tests shall be more than interesting enough without the added advantage of corporeal spells.

I now have empirical evidance to something that i had assumed as true: Light is what attracts the Heartless. They do indeed seek out that which they wish to fill in with Darkness. The circumstances surrounding this discovery are somewhat embarrasing, but i hold the discovery above that. Well, now i do at least. I'm the sure the Heartless felt differantly.

An idea i have been toying with. I look at myself and the Beast, and the affect it has had on our forms. And i question: do our new forms reflect our true self, or do we now act in the manner of our new forms? Is the Beast beastly because he is now a Beast, or was the darkness within him beastly and thus the Darkness changed his form to reflect that?

Am i mad because jesters (and i hate to think of myself as one) are? Or did my lord change my form into a jester because i was truly this way?

This in turn leads to another possibility: if we were to accept, hypothetically, that the darkness simply changed our forms to reflect how we truly are, then does truth lie in the outskirts of reason? We often say that truth is neither black nor white, but rather a shade of grey. Well, the common assumptions are usually incorrect, but this bears further pondering. Not that i believe it shall lead to anything, but its an interesting exercise, if nothing else.

My ship is now arriving back at Hollow Bastion. Ha...i doubt i missed much.

P.S. greetings, Axel, if you read this.
