FYI, the above quote was said by Sasha, Samantha's 8 year old Russian sister. High quality comedy.
This week was pretty boring. I worked double shifts on Monday, Thursday, and Friday (It was a favor for my father--He called me to ask me to work for him, since he fired another person, while I was getting my hair cut), so I ate at the restaurant on all of those nights. On Tuesday, I saw Samantha. We didn't do anything exciting. On Friday, I drank with my dad at the restaurant, then I came back and had a few more beers with him while watching Larry the Cable Guy. On Wednesday, I went to my grandmother's for dinner. As always, she made a big dinner with all of the sides and it was great. She also gave me a ton of stuff for the apartment, like steak knives, a vacuum, a cow patterned set (coffee mugs, tea kettle, salt and pepper shaker, napkin holder, cookie jar), tupperware, and a brand new toaster oven. Thanks Grams.
I went to Samantha's for the weekend, after she got out of work Saturday night. Saturday, we watched the Red Sox game. Then, we went out to dinner at the 99. I ate a seafood platter (fries, onion rings, scrod, shrimp, and scallops). Samantha ate a tropical chicken salad. We both drank martinis. I drank a beer while Samantha had a fruity drink and another martini. We went to Kappy's and picked up a bottle of wine (white zinfandel is Samantha's new drink), a bottle of 100 proof SoCo, and a nip of every flavor of Dekupyer's schnapps. We got back pretty late and drank a little (but not nearly enough) and watched South Park before turning in.
Sunday, we went to Essex Seafood for lunch. I got chicken fingers and fries. Samantha got 2 pounds of steamers, of which I stole some. We spent the day in the house. We watched the Red Sox game and we watched some more South Park. For dinner we ordered Cape Ann. I got a roast beef sandwich with BBQ sauce and fries. Samantha got another chicken salad. Her mother, with most of the family, got home around noon and knowing them a fight and awkward day for me was bound to follow. There were many close calls and a lot of huffing and puffing all day. The big one took until 9 to happen. And Samantha wonders why I hate going there and always want to be at my house... actually, she doesn't wonder, she hates it there too. Anyways, at that time Samantha was pretty drunk (from the end of the wine and some SoCo). She had A LOT of trouble letting me go because of the drunkenness, but I left soon after the fight.
This week should be pretty good. I work double shifts on Monday and Thursday. No plans yet for this weekend. Tuesday and Wednesday I took the day off of work because my parents went away. I am "house sitting." In reality I am spending some time with Samantha and she will get to sleep in my bed and we will smoke and drink and it will be awesome. If anything is going on for this weekend let me know. I can't wait to move in to the apartment and see all of my Umass friends that I haven't seen all summer. 16 more days...
