No Insurance Medical

I found out last night (as feared) that I can't get on my fiance's insurance until we're married. I am on two medications that I am running low on, and need to get in to see a doctor. Checking past posts, in 2005 things looked grim here medically for the uninsured - has that changed at all?

And for when I DO have insurance, does anyone have any recommendations for doctors or endocrinologists who are competent at thyroid stuff? Anyone have a ladyparts doc that they really are comfortable with?
