I don't know if I mentioned in here that I'm going to India this summer. No, I don't think I did mention it. I'll be going for quite a loooong time. From June 15 to September 3rd, without my mother for the exception of the last two weeks in August. It's going to be just me and my brother. Oh I don't know what to make of it ( Read more... )

Your poor grandmother! That's awful! I know this sounds terrible, but when I hear stories like this, I wonder if I even want to live a lengthy life. I can't bare the thought of losing so many family members. I also can't imagine always being in poor health. But being lonely must be the worst of all :-( I'm sure that if you go your grandmother would deeply appreciate it. There's not much we can do in situations like these other than be there for our family.

Yeah she was only able to get two weeks off :-( Oh believe me, she tried to get an extension. Two weeks was the longest possible without risking her job.

So far it looks like we'll be going to Delhi, Agra, Rajastan, Hyderabad, Vizag and Orissa (where my dad's family is). My dad insists that at least one of my cousins will accompany us on each journey, but I really don't see how that's possible. NO WAY IN HELL am I going to travel on a train alone. LMAO at your experiences that's just horrible. The worst part for me last time was the plane ride on the way to India. I was seated next to a rather large woman and an old gujurati man that stared at me for eight hours straight.

Hey if you're in India we should rendezvous! I know we'll kind of be like, I don't know...as far as New York and California are but we should definitely consider it!
