After a year off school, I'm back to college. Last week was my first 2 days of classes (we had orientation Tuesday and Wednesday and then Thursday and Friday were actual classes). I'm quickly learning that college is quite different from University.
I'm taking the Museum Management/Curatorship program at Fleming in Peterborough. It's a post-grad program and luckily it's small (30 people) so it's easy to get to know everyone. My first day of orientation, I was told to go to the Perterborough Museum across town for Thursday. I found out that until the 18th we're at the museum from 9-5 everyday and after that we're at the museum Monday mornings through to Thursday and Fridays we're on campus at the lab. Monday afternoons we're at Trent University. I've been there for 4 days and I think I know Peterborough better than I knew Hamilton after spending 4 years there!
So far I've only gotten lost twice and they were both minor wrong turns...
I miss McMaster but this is only a year and definitely different. I have to get gloves, safety goggles and a tetanus shot. I was all for hands-on but I don't know what I've gotten myself into!
