"No, Sirius. I don't care how much fun you think it will be. I'm not doing it."
"But, Moony, it's for Harry! His first Halloween, we owe it to him to dress up and be in the spirit of the holiday."
"Sirius, he's 3 months old. He wouldn't know if you decided to parade around naked...." Remus' voice trailed off and his mouth went dry as he realised all the implilcations of what he had just said.
Sirius smirked and nibbled along his lover's neck. "Why, Mr Moony! And after you promised Lilly we wouldn't do anything naughty around the baby."
Remus purred - a trait that never ceased to fascinate Sirius. He was finding that whenever he made Remus purr like that, he got extremely aroused. It was only complicated the night that Padfoot discovered that Moony also could purr. Sirius nibbled some more, letting his hands wander. "Back to the subject at hand, Remus, don't you want to join in the fun of the costume party?"
Remus sighed, turned around and kissed Sirius on the nose. "Yes, Sirius. I do. I just don't think that your idea is a good one. We'll look ridiculous."
"Everybody will look ridiculous, Moony," Sirius pointed out reasonably. "We, at least, will have reason behind our costumes."
"Grown men just don't dress like this, Sirius. Where the hell did you get these from anyway?"
"Made them. Designed specially to enhance my Moony's best features."
"Crap." But Remus was weakening. Sirius looked like an idiot - and he knew he did too. But his resolve had weakened fatally at Sirius "made them" comment. He couldn't refuse him anything when he knew how much effort Sirius had gone to.
Remus Lupin sighed and pulled up the brown hood of his costume, ears sticking up, muzzle covering his forehead, and he draped his long featherly tail over one arm.
"Well, Sirius, put your bloody hood up and let's get going."
Sirius grinned broadly and pulled his own hood up, wrapping an arm around Remus. "You don't look ridiculous, Remus," he whispered. "You look gorgeous."
