Title: Smile
Rating: PG
Paring: Miyavi/Reita
Summary: Reita only saw the smile, the quirk of that sensous mouth. He didn't see behind it; didn't see the tears or sorrow that smile hid.

Miyavi was always smiling.
Even when he was sad, he smiled.
Smiling was Miyavi's way to put others at ease, to hide just how hurt, how upset he really was. It was something he always done, even when he was younger. He had no idea when it started but, he knew it would never stop. Even now, twenty years latter, it was the same: a playful smile curled his lips as he took in the empty dorm.
The dorm held so many memories. Each of them were sweet, dancing across his memory like pixi sticks and cotton candy. He never wanted to forget these memories and yet, he did. He wanted to forget nights spent tangled in soft, cream colored sheets. Wanted to forget each tender kiss, each caress of calloused fingers. He wanted (and didn't want) to forget the love that had devloped and bonded him so strongly to another person.
"So, it's true." Ah, speak of the devil and he shall appear. That smile widen and Miyavi turned on his heel, facing his lover.
"Well yeah." He teased lightly. "I thought I mentioned this was my last year." Which, was almost a lie. He knew he never mentioned anything to Reita that this was his last year. Instead, he tried -and failed- to push the bassist away.
"Were you not going to tell me you're leaving?" Reita idly questioned, moving farther into the dorm and trailing his fingers lightly along the wall. "Were you just going to leave?"
For a moment, Miyavi's faint smile faltered; he wasn't going to tell Reita he was leaving. He knew how the bassist felt for him, knew how he, himself felt for the bassist. It would only crush the blond if he were to tell him he was leaving and never coming back.
Smile returning and turning soft, Miyavi moved over to Reita and pressed a tender kiss to his cheek. and took his hand into his own, hooking their pinky fingers together. "Friends, forever. Okay?"
Miyavi knew Reita wanted more than that, could see that slearly in those soft eyes that watered. Miyavi couldn't give Reita what he wanted and he hopped that the bassist moved on and found someone who could. It just sucked that Miyavi allowed himself to fall in love with the wonderful teen before him.
Even though he smiled and pretended he was okay, he wasn't. Inside, he was crying.
