RENT!!

So last night Pablo and I were going to see the midnight showing of RENT and we get to Westwood and it was sold out. Hahah we sorta expected that but we both thought we'd go anyways. So we came back to my appartment and drank wine and watched How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days. However, we apparently were both exhausted and fell asleep on the couch after like twenty minutes of the movie. Yet prior to falling asleep we bought our tickets to RENT for this evening. So I have seen RENT twice on Broadway in New York, and I didn't think the movie would do it justice. I think there is something so special about theater, and a movie just kills the entire effect. But oh my goodness was I wrong about this movie. I mean, nothing will ever replace seeing RENT on Broadway, but the movie was fabulous! I'm still getting chills thinking about it - the acting and singing was stunning! I'm very very impressed. I totally wanna go see it again, like tomorrow, hahah. So basically, I recommend it - I also recommend one day getting to New York and seeing it live, but that's a whole other story (and make sure to take me with you, haha).

I'm hoping that being home will change the mood I've been in. I am really thankful for so many things both past and present...but in particular my family, and my amazing friends from home. I've missed them greatly and I can't imagine life without them! I can't wait to be reunited with everyone, but am sad not to be able to see AJ or Neil (however, know you are both loved very very much). I am also thankful to be home to my beautiful city - I can't wait to go sit in the harbor and listen to the waves crash.
