오늘 (Today) (Vocal 심규선) - 에피톤 프로젝트 (Epitone Project)
“It’s been a long time.” Hyukjae heard the man in front of him saying as Hyukjae seated himself on the wooden chair.
Hyukjae stared at him, instead of greeting back, the man in front of him still had that childish yet sweet smile, just like years ago. Silly, Hyukjae thought, how it seemed he didn’t get old, while Hyukjae did.
“Hyuk.” Hyukjae heard the man calling him, still the same voice from years ago. “Hey, Hyuk, quit dazing around.” And the same complain every time Hyukjae kept his eyes on him, mind filled by thoughts of him.
“Do you want to order another glass, Donghae?” Hyukjae asked, referring to the empty glass in front of Donghae.
“No, you are already here anyway.” Donghae said, eyes glinted with happiness.
It was sickening, Hyukjae thought, seeing those eyes glinted with the same happiness which they had years ago. Hyukjae didn’t want to see it. The rage was all Hyukjae wanted to see, the anger directed to him, the wrath of a brokenhearted person, the fury of a hurt lover.
Hyukjae expected Donghae to turn into a bitter man after he left him, he wanted Donghae to not be able to show those happy eyes and that smile. He thought it would happen when Hyukjae left him, but it didn’t. Hyukjae thought, their love would destroy Donghae into pieces, but it didn’t.
“Hey, Hyuk. Talk something.” He heard Donghae calling him.
Hyuk, that name sounded familiar, too familiar, and it scared Hyukjae when it rolled on Donghae’s tongue now as easy as the past.
“Hyuk, are you okay?”
“Do you regret it?” He heard himself talking to Donghae though he knew, he asked himself.
“How are you, Hyuk?” Donghae asked instead of answering Hyukjae’s question.
I am a wretch, I am a mess, Hae. What should I do? Hyukjae’s mind answered.

서울은 흐림 (Gloomy/Cloudy Seoul) (feat. 한희정) - Mot (못)
It was cloudy every morning and it became gloomy at the dusk. When Seoul changed like that, Donghae didn’t remember. Drowning by the crowded and being forgotten by the daily activities, it would be a great thing if Donghae remembered since when Seoul became this surreal. Donghae even wondered, if the time still worked properly. If one day was still twenty four hours, one hour was sixty minutes, one minute was still sixty seconds, and so on. Donghae forgot everyone, people at his workplace, the subway workers, the owner of the shop near his house, when he reached his apartment. It didn’t matter, he would remember when he started his daily activity tomorrow, he thought before closing his eyes, drifting into slumber.
He bumped to someone at the subway when he was at his way back, Donghae didn’t know if it was his fault or the other person’s. He just remembered that they ended up taking the same train and sat next to each other. The man read a comic book, really the opposite of his appearance, neat suite and leather shoes, both looked expensive, though tie hang loose on the collar. No conversation happened until Donghae got off the train at his station.
This night, somehow Donghae remembered a face before he slept, it was blurry, but he remembered.
Donghae frowned to the weird feeling inside his chest, when he saw a redhead sat a few feet away from him the next day at the train when he was going to work. Grey suite, an untie tie on the collar, and still a comic book on his hands. The man smiled when their eyes met together by coincidence. And somehow, Donghae thought, the time worked properly again.

The Planets Bend between Us - Snow Patrol
It was winter, he didn’t remember the exact day, but it was pretty cold outside the company building so Hyukjae let it happen once when Donghae slipped into Hyukjae’s hand unconsciously which Donghae quickly pulled his hand back, afraid of Hyukjae’s ‘what-are-you-doing’ frown and Hyukjae’s annoying comments on his action, just like how Hyukjae was used to do every time Donghae did something that was some kind of public display of affection, by Hyukjae’ standard of course. But to Donghae’s own surprise, Hyukjae grabbed his palm and pulled Donghae’s hand inside Hyukjae’s jacket pocket casually.
Hyukjae smiled slightly when he saw through the big window glass of a café while they were walking at the turn before they reached parking lot, a reflection of a confused Donghae, questioning Hyukjae’s act which out of habit. Donghae held Hyukjae’s hand tighter when they stood beside Hyukjae’s car, not wanting to let go, earning a look from Hyukjae.
“Do not give me that look.” Donghae said. “It’s not my fault for not wanting to let go. You know I’m greedy, I always want more.” Donghae grinned.
Hyukjae half smiled half chuckled, “If you aren’t letting go, we’ll have to stand here in the cold day like this like idiots.”
“We are idiots already.” Donghae talked back.
“You are, I am not.” Hyukjae spoke, earning a smack on his shoulder.
“Come on, Hae. We have to get going before night.”
Donghae pouted but freed his hold reluctantly.

Sea in the winter was not a nice one, Hyukjae knew it, but Donghae’s plea -well, Donghae made it into more like a challenge, but Hyukjae knew it better- to race to the sea and see who was better at holding the below zero temperature that the water had, was something that he couldn’t refuse. So he turned into Donghae’s kind, an idiot, letting the small wave sweep his bare feet, while Donghae stood at the safe place, where the waves couldn’t reach the shore, and laughed at him like an idiot he was.
“I’ll get my revenge, Lee Donghae!” Hyukjae yelled as he chased Donghae.
“It’s dark already.” Donghae said. Both lied on the shore, sprawling out, after they were tired of chasing and tickling each other.
“We have to get back.” Hyukjae added, his fingertips touched Donghae’s fingertips.
“Later. As long as we make it at dinner time, Umma won’t be mad.” Donghae said, shifting closer to Hyukjae.
“Beautiful, isn’t it? Winter sky in Mokpo.” Donghae continued, using Hyukjae’s extended hand as a pillow.
“Yeah, we can get to see stars clearly, unlike Seoul.” Hyukjae agreed.
A pause.
“Hae, I think we have to go back. It’s getting colder and colder. We can get a cold if we stay longer.” Hyukjae spoke.
“No.” Donghae spoke as he snuggled on Hyukjae’s chest, hugging Hyukjae. “It’s warm here.”
