The Pimsleur course in Czech is good for drilling in basic expressions, but it requires some imaginative use to really become learning. I try to respond to the exercises with some kind of emotion, and sometimes even argue with the speaker. Or I'll address my responses to the cats, who get confused when I don't talk to them in German.
The course assumes the student is male. It's hard to avoid making an assumption in a language where adjectives have gender endings, but they could have varied the assumption from time to time.
The fifth lesson finally gets to "where is..." but still hasn't given the all-important question, "Where is the toilet?" (It's "Kde je záchod?")
