Yeesh, what a mess.
I don't know about other parts of Oz but the central coast is having some major freaky weather right now. A windstorm blew in at the wee hours of the morning and it brought a huge cloud of dust with it. I woke up around 7 and when I saw how orange it was outside, my first thought was that there was a fire somewhere. I've never seen a dust storm like this before. The Sydney airport is shut down because of the force of the winds and reduced visibility. I wonder what's going to happen with planes coming in...I assume they'll either have to circle around until conditions are improved or they'll have to make a beeline for another airport un-affected by this storm and fly displaced passengers to Sydney when it clears up.
I went outside to put our bags of aluminum cans in the shed so that they wouldn't blow across the yard and I could taste the dust in my throat by the time I got back inside. I predict my sinuses are going to go bonkers by the end of the day if this doesn't clear up soon.
