Sawatdeeka in Seychelles

Sawatdeeka!

Banyan Tree Seychelles - Saffron Restaurant offers thai cuisine for their guests here in Paradise. Us the ones working in Front Office has been hearing a lot about guests wanting to make their dinner reservations at Saffron, thus all of a sudden on one day, I could not curb my craving for Asian food, we decided to pop by Saffron to give it a try for dinner.

In half an hour, we reached Banyan Tree Seychelles to be greeted by its beauty. Interesting how every resort/hotel has its own competitive advantage, different decor and finishings, an angle of uniqueness just differentiating themselves from others despite being in the same country/island.

We browsed through the menu, as for me I settled with 2 appetisers which might just be sufficient for me, and I added a soup to go along.

And soon enough, the dishes we ordered started flowing in.

First up we had a mini surprise of Prawn Crackers & Coconut Bun with peanut sauce, and another of which seems like an 'amuse bouche' - Fried Wanton with avocado sauce.

Appetisers came in! Mixed appetiser of Spring Rolls, Prawn Cakes, Chicken Satay and Prawns. Anything with the sweet chilli sauce was too good to be resisted, totally! I loved it so much!

Then either the soups (Tom Yum Goong, Scallop Coconut Broth) came in, followed by then the Main Courses (Duck in Red Curry, Crisp Chicken with sauteed vegetables)

Saffron serves rice in the most amazing way, having them in cones, pick your choice of Jasmine, Saffron, Watermelon or Sesame rice!

The dessert which is Coconut Brulee with young coconut meat.

And this is my bill, our once-in-a-lifetime Thai dinner in Seychelles!

To sum it all up, this is what we have:
