By the description you gave me, she's a behemoth, which means she's harder to kill than most demons, and you can't assume she'll come alone. Even as a team effort, guns may not be enough if you can't kill her before she shifts.

The current political climate isn't getting any less tumultuous. More than likely she's aware of this and is taking advantage of that fact.

If the choices are between getting noticed and letting her kill you, I think the risk is an acceptable one.
