i'm back from japan!
turns out i had influenza (or H1N1) while i was there and recovered without knowing it.
i only found out after i went to a doctor yesterday to treat a cough.
i had to change my host family on the second day because kotone-chan (5) got it. on the second last day i moved back with them because the oldest boy in my new host family, ryuto-chan (9) got it too.
other than that, it was great!
me in a yukata! i'm kinda swollen. cause of the fever xD
i miss the kids so so so much. i was pretty much being babysitter because the kids in both families were so young but oh, they're so clingy! they hug and kiss and insist on sitting on my lap ♥
the first day, i made a mistake (?) of telling one of the host moms that i liked arashi.
i do, kind of. its just that i don't listen to their songs and stuff. i was only saying that to show that i pay attention to japanese music.
and then the arashi fever began.
turns out EVERYONE was an arashi freak, including my first and second host family. even the dads have favorite members. (ohno for the first and aiba for the second dad) sho seemed to be the general favorite, and i can see why. we watch arashi everyday (they're on tv 24/7. seriously) and he's so cute <3 i even watched arashi in 3D! okasan recorded the arashi 10th anniversary special and there was a segment where they made the boys 3D during a performance. we rewatched it at least 10 times and my okasan was all giggly. its so cool though.
i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the junior high school. both the school itself and the students. because we were wearing our traditional outfits when we entered th school we drew attention wherever we went.
the kids started hurtling questions. when they asked me if i had a boyfriend, i answered in the negative and the whole class turned around to look at this cute kid grinning in a corner. said kid later asked me to go out with him, to which i said of course. he ran from one end of the room to another. its so cute xD
and then they just threw out whatever english they knew. "i love you! your face is so cute! do you know arashi?" and at one point, this pretty boy asked me to marry him. he's sooooo cute i would've said yes if he wasn't 13 xD
and i bought pinky! you know, the sweets tvxq endorse? i took one, but okasan was like nonono and took the whole box. it has their faces on it and everything.
one lucky girl got 6 tohoshinki cds from her host family, including All About III. it must've cost them a bomb.
disneyland kinda sucked. but everyone knows that.
we reached that at TWO FUCKING AM and slept in the bus until it opened. nothing that magical about it. maybe its because i've been. the special effects and the details in some of the rides were amazing though.
i lost my purse in disneyland and miraculously, it was returned to me untouched. all the money in it (all 25k yen. thats a hell lot of money) was safe. if this happened in malaysia, you can kiss your money goodbye.
so i'm back and really really hot. going from 7 c to 32 c is hard to adjust to.
andddd. it took me two hours just to go through twitter and catch up on the kpop news for the past ten days.
