ok so i was talking to amelia today after school and i was telling her about how im a little stressed about telling my parents im dropping out of salpointe, and i dont really know how or when im going to tell them, and she sugested i write them a letter so i did. i still havnt decided when to give it to them but i have a rough draft and i would like your opinion.
dear mom and dad
i am righting this letter to inform you of an important decision i made a couple months ago. i have decided to drop out of salpointe. if you would like me to continue going to school at all i would be willing to go to tucson high or the art academy (i think thats what its called), however i understand that may not be an option so i am prepared to get a job and work on getting my GED. now i understand that you will try to stop me from doing this and i understand that you will be very mad at me. i also understand that you will probably inflict as many and as harsh punishments as you can think of to try to change my mind, but im dead set against going back to that school and ill put up with whatever you can dish out. now before you come yell at me and make me cry i ask that you simply sit for a few minutes and take some deep breaths and try to be me, think like me, feel like me, and then by all means hit me with your best shot hurt me the way only you as parents can. im ready for you.
you loving daughter Madeline
its just a rough draft so i know it needs work but just tell me what you think. what should i change or take out or put in? and do you even think writing a letter is a good idea
