Bet you don't talk about this where you work

One of the older teens asked if he could talk to me alone. Turns out that it's possible he got his girlfriend in Florida pregnant.

"Terrell," I told him. "Can I say two words to you: birth control!"

First he laughed, then he scoffed. "Miss Madeleine, birth control is pills. That's for the girl to take care of. That's not for me!"

"Condoms," I said. "Didja ever think of using them?"

"Oh! You think I don't strap myself? you think I don't use protection? I don't want no disease."

Hoo boy. Honestly I don't think this could be his kid because his "girlfriend" lives far away and from what he told me about her, she could be talking paternity with any number of guys.

So what do you talk about at your job? Have you had a fire drill lately? or watched someone eat a slice of pizza in under 20 seconds without choking?

What exactly *do* other people at work beside tell people to throw out their gum, stop running and don't tease the pretty girl because she thinks you're an asshole?

job, work
