"You know what's amazing? Doors."

Thursday
I was supposed to go see David Sedaris Thursday night, but it was in Newark, NJ. By the time I finished with my 8am French class followed by 7 1/2 hours of work, I just couldn't bring myself to get on the PATH train. I've already been told I'm a loser, thanks. Josh called and asked what was going on. Melissa and I ended up going over to his place. One hit from his bong and I was high for hours. I am such a lightweight. At some point we went for a walk. Back to my apartment, attempted to watch Twin Peaks, I passed out within five minutes. Twin Peaks isn't all that different when you're high, just so you know.
Friday
Went to see Lost In Translation with Melissa and Zack. I loved it. I really like Sofia Coppola a lot. It reminded me so much of traveling alone this summer and the weirdly close, strange and contextual, quietly intimate friendships I formed.
Saturday
Cleaned apartment, baked cowboy cookies, had people over. Accidentally left the phone off the hook for somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half. Found messages from people in the lobby wanting to be signed in and come up. Maya waited 25 minutes. Oopps. So not that many people came, but it was fun. Colette was in full form. Jonathan came (?!). Tequilla shots and T-rav. Josh came, gave me a joint, we went on the balcony and smoked it, he left. It was a strange, strange night. I drank three boys (Zack, a previously unmentioned kid named Scott, and someone whose name I don't recall) under the table, but lost at arm wrestling.
Sunday
Hangover. Cleaning. dvds. Skipped yoga again. Bought a new watch at Anthropologie. Correspondence with Michael Ian Black. Art history reading.
