- GUYS. FINALS ARE ALMOST OVER. And today was basically terrible; I spent all day in my pajamas, in bed with my laptop and I'm at the point where if I don't see my laptop for a couple days, I'd be okay with that. But anyway, the course of my day consisted of dicking around on tumblr/facebook/twitter and then spending the last three hours writing a 7 page paper and 2 750 word essays. Like literally, those essays? I wrote them both in an hour. I was so delirious with trying to get the essays done on time, I just pray that they make sense. And at one point, I referenced the Kardashian sisters. Guys, it's an essay for a Brit Lit class, so obviously it makes sense to reference those morons. The essay was about highbrow vs lowbrow art and I was trying to make it relevant to today...I don't even know. I pray my professor even knows who the Kardashian sisters are otherwise...well, this will end well.
- I'm not even going to cut my Glee recap because I basically just have this thought: I think I might be over Glee. I found this episode really boring and almost everybody irritated me. I'm not sure if it's Glee-fatigue or real life/finals fatigue. So...yeah.
- I BASICALLY HAD A TWO HOUR ALL CAPS CONVERSATION WITH
marleybanana ABOUT THIS EPISODE. SO, YEAH, THAT'S WHAT WE'RE IN FOR.
- This show and it's moments. Everything is just so GOOD and it keeps getting better every single week. Characters are getting fleshed out and there's a pretty good balance between the humor, the emotions, and all the action. Honestly, nothing makes me happier right now. IT'S SO GOOD.
- So Danny and Steve have hearts in their eyes for each other at all times. This is just a given at this point.
- BABE. AGAIN.
- God, I'm having a hard time concentrating on what even to mention because not only am I drained, but the episode like, fried my brain on top of that.
- THE SEXY EYES IN THE CAR. Like, giant emotional moment for Steve and Danny where they are naturally/organically talking about something heavy like having to deliver bad news. And then Steve turns the radio on, Danny flips out because Sexy Eyes is playing and then you can just see how Steve keeps it on because it riles Danny up so much and it helps them get past their emotional issues AND GOD BOYS. PERFECT SCENE IS PERFECT.
- Masi Oka, Grace Park, Daniel Dae Kim: The Triumvirate of Asian Awesomeness. Their whole scene together was amazing and I wish for more to come out of it. Also, Kono: "You work with dead bodies all day and your hobby is...dead bodies?" not only killed me dead but then Max's line next: "Also pickles." JUST BE MORE AWESOME.
- Leis. LEIS. Leis and no ties and then they ended up taking off the leis anyway and Danny was still walking around with no tie and that was just amazing.
- Knocking down the door. I...can't even. They're doing bits together, but Steve can't read Danny quite right yet because Danny is all proper police procedure and Steve is just like fuck this AND KICKS DOWN A DOOR.
- Speaking of which, the end bantering scene with the psychopath. Holy shit, if we could just sum up the show in one scene, that would be it. Also,
lamardeuse's
recap involved this line which I think is perfect: "THEY ACTUALLY BICKERED A SERIAL KILLER TO DEATH."
- Also that scene, the fact that you can see Steve twitching with want to shoot that guy in the face was maybe even more hilarious than Danny yelling how he's been trained to do this, thank you very much.
marleybanana and I agreed that the only way Danny's way will ever work is if Steve is not there to get all trigger happy. Sorry Danny, you're basically in love with Rambo.
- Steve and his mom! JUICY STORYLINES ARE COMING, I CAN JUST TELL. Lots of manpain and I'm just there will be hugging and Danny calling Steve Babe at least three more times.
- So basically, after two torturous weeks of waiting, CBS managed to deliver the most perfect episode of H50 yet. Until next week, because holy shit. It looks like it's going to be a good one. Chin being a quiet badass with a BOMB WRAPPED AROUND HIS NECK. And let's not forget the promo photo - Christmas at Danny's apartment, with Grace, while Danny is in a santa suit and Steve (defaultedly) has hearts in his eyes. AND IT WAS THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER.
