Breaking the 4th wall: Stuff like "Hey, you're a l'Cie, aren't you?" are allowed, but nothing about being a video game character, please. RPG characters are delicate creatures.
Hugging: Go right ahead. She'll warm up to that if she knows and likes a person.

Kissing and/or other intimate actions: As long as there's been some good CR between characters, I don't see why not. If she doesn't like someone, expect someone to lose a limb or two, or at the very least get an earful of angry amazon.
