[Yeah, Heather and 'Nightmares' are old pals.]

... There's a lot of different things that could be called nightmares.

Some can be more horrifying than others. But they all scare us.

If anyone ever says that they're not scared of nightmares, they're lying.

Or not human.

[Way to make generalizing statements there, Heather.]

Everyone has something they fear. Pretending they don't is a way of giving into that fear.

Never seeing or being with Juudai again. Nothing in all the universe could be worse than that.

So losing a loved one. [She sighs.]
That's already happened to me. I hope it never happens to you.

I did lose him for a time. But we found each other again.

That's good. I'm glad you didn't suffer much pain.

The pain of losing a loved one stays forever. So I still have my pain.

The kind that doesn't go away when you wake up, I guess I'd have to say.

Some pain doesn't go away, no matter how hard you try. Same with fear.

I don't know your situation or anything, so maybe I'm wrong... but I think it's possible for things like that to lessen their grip over you as time goes on, if you can't actively try to overcome it for whatever reason.

I guess it depends how deeply rooted it is, and what exactly it is you're so traumatized by that you're having nightmares about it.

Have you already done everything you can about it?

I don't know if I'll ever get over this.

It's rooted very deeply. My sister, my only living family at the time, was murdered trying to help me.

[groggy and sour-sounding. Yeah, you probably woke him up]

Not getting any proper rest in this blasted world...

[pause, more sounds of waking up]

Mrngh...a real nightmare? Never going home. Never getting to see the Princess grow up and put our world back to rights, never knowing how this debacle with the Eternal Tiara turns out...

I apologize if I woke you.

And the majority of the people I meet want to go back to their own world. But who is the princess your talking about?

My mistress, Princess Glenda. She's the daughter of the demon king and I've tended to her since the day she was born. Circumstances allowing, I'll do so for many years to come.

...provided there's an agreeable end to what we're here to do.

I see. You've known her for quite some time, then. So naturally you think highly of her. I hope you find a way back.
