Why anyone would devote themselves to God has always eluded me. Christianity, to me, seems a belief based on hypocrisy [thou shalt not kill, when the bible is riddled with murder], restriction [lists upon lists of things you are not permitted to do, apparently human nature is immoral and you're supposed to be better than that], and guilt. It seems like every Christian friend I have says things like "I don't deserve to have Him in my life" "I am not worthy of Him." To me, it seems outrageous to spend your life worshipping something, devoting so much to it, yet never feeling as though you deserve "His" love in return. I had an entire rant going on, but somehow any will to type it out has just vanished. Maybe later? If anyone has any disagreements with what I've said thus far please let me know. I enjoy debates.
