Where He Belongs
Dean's snoring on the pull-out cot which is within reaching distance of the couch that Sam's lying wide-awake on.
What if he didn't get in the car? What if all he got was his brother trapped in a box for eternity on the bottom of the pacific, and the memory of Dean's arms wrapped awkwardly around him and a Take care, Sammy?
What if Bille's right and this is the only way?
If he tries everything and this is all that's left, then there's no way Sam's going to be anywhere but right by his brother's side; where he belongs.
A/N: What an episode! I loved the build up of dread and wrongness as we watched Dean's farewell tour, and everyone's face of horror, and how they all go straight to Sam with their concerns. I loved that hug and Sam's little face as he processes that something's terribly wrong, and all the conversations they had, and seeing the storage unit made me think of John's unit and all the things he kept that belonged to the boys, and Dean's sad story to Mary, and I could just keep going because I loved it and I got too many feels! *takes deep breath* Anyway, I focused on Sam here, especially his 'alright' when he agrees to help his brother (and I'm not going to pretend that there's a part of me that doesn't want him to do some very bad things in order to save his brother). As always I'd love to hear your thoughts too; on the episode, on the drabble, on everything (just no spoilers please). Take care :)
