Aftermath
Dean doesn't feel like himself, and yeah he was possessed and all that jazz, and that's going to leave more than just a scar on his arm, but it's not just that.
Bludgeoning that djinn felt good. Wasting a whole clip into it felt better.
His hands are still shaking from the adrenaline high, and it's an all too familiar feeling; the Mark of Cain all over again, because he was there, but he also wasn't running the whole show.
It was almost like someone else was taking the reins, and Dean, well he was just there for the ride.
A/N: I really enjoyed this episode (I'm ignoring the fact that Maggie went hunting alone, because it makes no sense to me!). I loved seeing Sam and Mary bond, seeing more chief!Sam and Dean's teasing and general encouragement. I also liked that we got to know AU Bobby more, and acknowledging that he isn't simply a 'replacement' Bobby, but his own character. I've been on the fence with what happened to Michael, but it felt like this episode hinted heavily that Michael's not gone, just deep in hiding (and I like that. I like that a lot!) I explored this a little in this drabble (and
jj1564 wrote an awesome one too from Michael's POV!). As always I'd love to hear your thoughts too; on the episode, on the drabble, on everything (just no spoilers please). Take care :)
