Bad Place/Good Place

If there's one thing that Dean's learned in this life, it's that there's always a layer of worse underneath bad.

Things can look like they've gone to shit; boxed in by Angels who are somehow breaking sigils, but then you can get thrown into another dimension, that's well, not the dimension you were looking for.

At least they have weapons, and his brother is right next to him, even if he's looking just as freaked out as Dean feels.

So yeah, this is really bad, and Dean's on edge, just waiting for it all to get a whole lot worse.

It's not like all those other times; Sam has his brother right by his side, and if that makes him feel like a kid all over again, like everything will be OK, he doesn't give a damn.

The fact is, if there's one thing that Sam's learned over the years it's that there's nothing they can't do when they work as a family.

So yeah, they're trapped here, but Sam has a weapon and he has his brother, and they're going to get out of here. How? He has no idea yet. But they will, and they'll do it together.

A/N: I really really enjoyed this episode!!! I think there was a lot to do and it was all done in a perfectly balanced way; introducing new characters, the spinoff, but also involving Sam and Dean and this seasons mytharc - very well done! I'm fond of Kaia and intrigued about her backstory, she seems much more interesting to me than Patience, although I very much liked the John and Sam shadow with the ultimatum. There was a lot of tension and drama, and I appreciated that the Angels felt a bit more threatening than usual. it was such a pretty episode too; the lighting and shadows, the awesome boat location and that street art - I could go on because there was so much to enjoy! I wanted to focus on the ending, and how this season we've really been reminded of how different Sam and Dean view situations, so I thought it was a perfect opportunity for a 'buy one, get one free' double drabble! As always I'd love to hear your thoughts too; on the episode, on the drabble, on everything (just no spoilers please). Take care :)
