Blaze of Glory
Slowly suffocating in his own damn home is never the way Dean pictured his death. Going down gun’s a blazing? Hell yeah. A hero’s death? Sure, sign him up. Dying an old man tucked up in his warm bed? Well, once upon a time he’d never thought that was even possible. But now it’s a hopeful wish at best.
Sitting here, shoulder to shoulder with Sam, covered in sweat and glued on cement dust, the air so thin Dean’s lungs are aching; he realises that there are worse ways than dying with his brother, his family, right by his side.
A/N: I loved this so hard!!! I got a lot of what I've been craving from this episode and so much more (Grenade Launcher, goggles, single layers, Blaze of Glory, leader Sam, and just so many family feels and hugs). I had to focus a little more on Sam and Dean's Blaze of Glory conversation... for reasons ;)
