Shades of Grey
There's no going back. That girl's blood will always be on his hands; her yellow eyes forever ingrained in his memory. She's part of him; she's changed him.
The world looks different, full of possibilities that never existed a few short days ago. Are monster's always monstrous?
But now he'll forever see shades of grey in a British Men of Letters world of black and white. He'll be the outsider, and once the elders learn he doesn't fit, there won't be room for him any more.
A different future beckons, with new allies who will learn all of his secrets.
A/N: I mostly enjoyed this episode! I found Claire less irritating than I usually do, and there were plenty of Sam and Dean moments to enjoy (Sam's look of distress when told he's not sharing a room with his brother, Dean shoving a fist full of mints (?) in his pocket, swimming naked, Sam squashed into Claire's car, fiercely protective Dean, and Sam's conversations with Claire). I loved the development of Mick's story line and I can't help but wonder if he's going to switch 'sides', and possibly even be the one to tell Sam and Dean about Magda (I need to this happen now that Dean has specifically mentioned her!) so I explored that a little here. I wanted more boys, more brotherly moments, more connection with them, and the ending with Claire riding off in her car was very jarring to watch. But I'm still looking forward to what happens next!
