Smooth Driving
There's a new case, but your wheels are struggling under pot-holes; you're heavy and sluggish. When Dean says follow that car, you do your best, but the momentary thrill of the chase doesn't last long. Something's wrong.
You drive, you park, you wait. There's new people to keep safe and protect, and you do, because that's your job.
You're heading home, and they're talking; about a life saved, a win tucked under well-worn belts, about pie, and Hitler, there's jokes and teasing. Suddenly the road levels out, your wheels family-familiar with the tarmac, and it's effortless. You feel better already.
A/N: I enjoyed this episode - it was great to see the Winchester's get a win, and a save!! I thought I'd try something a little different for this weeks drabble. I hope you enjoyed it.
