Straight From My Bleeding Heart

"Some Satire for You (Straight from my Bleeding Heart)"

You are so deep.
You have as much depth
As a puddle.

I, however, am the ocean.
I see right through you
And your shallow thoughts,
Your hollow prophesies.

You have so many philosophies,
So many quotes to carry,
So many ideas to express.
(But really you're a mess).

All your ideas are copies.

Words spoken by others
You've taken as truth.
Tell me what is true to you.

I listen as you plagarize.
Oh, how I pity you
And the depth of your education.

....You illiterate fool....

I know you.
You have read one book
And from the experience
(Being, as it were,
So new to your feeble mind)
You took that book
And made it your credo,
Your life's bible.

You made one man's testimony
Your breathless argument,
Your dying advice.

You plagarize your own life.
You do not understand your own speech.

But there are many books.
There are many philosophies.
Many men claim to be prophets
Who are fools.

I encourage you to read
All of those books!
Learn all those philosophies!
Listen to all those prophets!
I beg you--
DWELL ON THOSE WORDS.

But I swear to you:
Writers are liars.
Philosophies are garbage.
Prophets are false.

These things are all real
In their own way.

Yes, I swear to you:
No man's beliefs are as good
As your own.
