Nylon net works reasonably well for scrubbing dirt off celery.
You can get it for not too much $$$ at a fabric store (I recommend getting WHITE) and then it can be cut up into useable pieces. I do roughly 1' X 1'. (It's closer to 11" X 12" if I get 45" wide stuff, which is what usually happens. Heck, that may be what's always happened.) Very useful for scrubbing things. Nylon net + Bon Ami will take care of an awful lot of kitchen scrubbing chores, including stainless-steel sinks.
